The Opportunity

Fantasy fandoms increasingly operate like lifestyle communities—extending beyond books into identity, aesthetics, online culture, and everyday rituals.

The partnership created an opportunity to connect fragrance with one of the most engaged audiences in publishing, translating fandom participation into a product and storytelling experience fans could actively engage with.

The Approach

The collaboration centered around the limited-edition Onyx Storm Discovery Set—a curated fragrance experience inspired by dragons, storms, romance, and the emotional tension of the series.

Timed to Threshing Day, the campaign connected fragrance discovery with fandom culture through social activations, editorial storytelling, creator engagement, and immersive digital experiences.
